Privacy policy

This policy covers the ARC browser extension, the ARC widget on partner sites and this website, all operated by Predictor LLC.

What leaves your device

We send the page address, title, headline and a few key terms of supported news pages to find matching markets. We never send page text, your browsing history, or anything that identifies you.

On a supported page ARC sends the page address with any query string and fragment removed, the title and headline, up to 30 key terms, up to 20 names, and numbers sorted into fixed categories without the words around them. In Everywhere mode, article pages on other sites send their site address only. Banking, health, email and private sites, and private windows, send nothing.

Analytics

With analytics on, ARC records product events, such as the panel opening or a card being clicked, against a random ID created on your device. With analytics off, or while your browser sends Global Privacy Control, ARC still finds markets but records no product events, and identifies itself with an ID that changes every day.

This website

If you arrive from a campaign link, this website stores a random token in your browser, in local storage and a first-party cookie, so that if you install ARC it can tell which link brought you. The token holds no personal information and expires after 30 days.

What we never collect

We do not store IP addresses, names, email addresses or account details, and we do not use device fingerprinting or third-party identifiers. ARC does not read or set cookies on the sites you visit.

Who processes data for us

PostHog receives the analytics events described above. To rank matches, Anthropic may receive a page’s key terms and names together with candidate market titles, never page text. When you click a card, the market page you open receives a random click reference that carries no personal information.

How long we keep it

Matching records are deleted after 90 days, activity records after 13 months, click records after two years and attribution tokens after 60 days.

Your choices

In ARC’s settings you can pause ARC, change where it works, mute sites, turn analytics off, reset your ID, and export or delete your data. We do not sell your data, and we honour Global Privacy Control.

If you wanted your data deleted, that needs doing from the extension’s options page before uninstalling — the key that proves the data is yours is stored only in the extension, so once it is removed we cannot identify which data was yours.

If what ARC sends changes, ARC asks for your consent again before sending anything new.

ARC is for adults aged 18 or older in the United States and is not directed at children.
